I introduced my wife to Mad Max: Fury Road not long ago and it occurred to me that Ironsworn would be a very good system for mimicking adventures in the Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland. As always, thank you Shawn Tomkin for giving us such a wonderfully adaptable system. Accordingly, I've jotted down some ideas in the form of character creation, some thoughts on rule modifications for the setting, and a few asset ideas. This might be a one-off idea or I might continue writing it (as if I didn't have enough projects going on anyway). Any thoughts, comments, ideas, or charges of heresy would of course be welcome. 0 - Escape from the Wastes https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z0aUwt1iTaLAwFNipQevgjVZuvcShq4v

At long last, Branwhyn and company are able to return the taken Ironlanders of Twin River's home.

At long last, Branwhyn and company are able to return the taken Ironlanders of Twin River's home. Politics machinations make the reprieve all too brief. 24 - Twin Rivers Restored I start using a set of relationship rules by Kiyomi McFarlane's to represent Branwhyn's mentorship of Corinna. Kiyomi's rules set is designed to emulate a slow-building Jane Austen-style courtship, but they work well for our purposes despite he relationship not being a romance. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-NACfknm4oCQhMg_RRJW2ZUGyOl0qwkk

Face to face with an Elder Beast Harrow Spider, Branwhyn and the Valknut strive to rescue the Ironlanders that have been taken by the spiders. 23 - Devle the Depths - Part 2 Whew, this one took a while to get finished, mostly due to the holidays. Also, this will be the last closeup of a spider for a long time, I promise. https://drive.google.com/open?id=162mzmBA9vD0kc9iwWFLVYW53LOT7jFwi

Branwhyn and the Valknut Devle into the Depths of a nest of Harrow Spiders to retrieve the Ironlanders taken from a raid on their caravan. 23 - Devle the Depths - Part 1 Shawn Tomkin’s playtest document for Devle the Depths came out at a good time for me, the same day I was writing this as it turned out. Ergo, I’m going to be using the playtest rules provided for our delve into the spider cave. Obviously, the Theme and Domain don’t fit. When those come up, I’ll adapt to something more appropriate. I'll say in advance though, even the playtest rules of this expansion are a lot of fun! https://drive.google.com/open?id=1UXkr3u2mqXCJj4DCZn84-A5pX6Yh5O-X

I've been tooling around with modified assets for a Witcher. This is what I've come up with so far and I'd appreciate any feedback, incites, or thoughts the community might have.

Branwhyn and company finally reach Twin Rivers only to find earlier missteps have made the situation far worse. Allies dwindle and new vows are sworn. Chapter 16 - Twin Rivers Thank you to those who read and of course Shawn Tomkin who created this wonderful system and world for us to let our immaginations run wild in. I hope these are enjoyable and inspire others to explore the world of Ironsworn. I've been doing a bit more co-op play lately and ran into a rule question. Regarding Aid your Ally being used in concert with certain Assets that give a bonus to Momentum when Securing an Advantage. Specifically, who gets the extra +1 Momentum? Example: A PC with the Ranger Path makes the Aid your Ally move by scouting ahead using his knowledge of woodcraft and then relaying information back to an Ally about the road ahead. Assume a Strong Hit. The alley then gets +2 Momentum from the Aid your Alley move. All good so far. Question 1: Does the Aid your Ally move still count as Securing an Advantage for the purpose of the benefits from the Ranger Path? -- The +1 on the action die roll and the +1 Momentum on a hit. I would say yes, because of the wording of Aid your Ally (i.e. When you Secure an Advantage in direct support of an ally . . .) Question 2: Who gets the additional +1 Momentum granted by the Ranger Path asset? The Ranger who made the roll or the Ally who was receivi...

Nearing the end of the journey to Twin Rivers, an old family grievance arises and threatens to lay low one of their champions. Chapter 15 - Old Grievances - 2 of 2 I'm trying to keep these shorter for the sake of the reader (you) and editor (me). The first part of the journey to Twin Rivers, Branwhyn and company seek to cleanse the Ironhold of the Broken that infests it, but an enemy scout may foil their intentions before they ever reach their destination. Chapter 15 - To Twin Rivers - 1 of 2 Though I right these for my own enjoyment, it is still a bit of a surprise that others enjoy reading them. Thank you. I hope they continue to be enjoyable and inspire others to write and build up the Ironsworn community. 14 - Finding Allies.pdf

It has been too long since I put one of these up. Alas, life gets in the way of writing and rolling. Branwhyn and Corinna finally return to Crow's Perch only to come upon another unlikely pair that has sought refuge in the Ironhold. Will they be allies in the coming council? And will the other Thanes pledge aid to liberate the Ironhold of Twin Rivers from the Broken? Chapter 14 - Finding Allies As always, thank you to those who read these stories. In eager anticipation of a Sci-Fi version of Ironsworn, my wife and I sat down and did a cooperative play set in the Firefly universe. There have of course been some hacks of the system and some changes. Notably the inclusion of a ship asset independent of either character and which sadly didn't see much use. Most of the rest are reskinned assets. Most of it is still pretty rough, but we had a hilariously good time writing it. I hope it is an enjoyable read. As always, thank you to those who read these stories. I hope they are enjoyable and inspire. Returned from the Shadow Lands with no memory of the journey, Branwhyn soon reaches an impasse in his negotiations with White Tree and must seek the aid of the Witch who lives nearby. And now for something a little different: A slayer of monster's by trade, Steiner hunts an unknown monster that stalks the countryside. Yet in the Ironlands, things are rarely what they seem. So, I'm a large fan of the Witcher series and after a chat with Shawn Tomkin about the feel of combat, I wanted to try out a character that was built for combat and see if it affected the tension level of the fight. This chapter is the result. It is worth mentioning, this narrative is lifted in content and theme from Andrzej Sapkowski's "The Witcher" and reimagined for Ironsworn. Also, the dice rolls tend to change things. :-) I'm happy to say, combat is still stressful and doesn't ever seem to drag for me. Steiner is naturally able to handle more difficult challenges, but the dice are fickle and not even trivial fights should be considered safe. Thank you to everyone who reads, I hope these inspire. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1NEAWnnkiIQuSZ_ExWMhOmcfYoPMF...
