Some notes on how to run the Great Pendragon Campaign as an Ironsworn Solo game (or Gm-less Group or with a GM). These rely on my suggested Domain Asset which you can hopefully find in an earlier post.

If you are wanting to play solo - these notes should give you a reasonable way to approach this massive campaign. If there is enough interest in them, I may extend them - they just cover the first couple of years with a few battles and adventures.
enjoy!

This is great! Any ideas on how to handle rules for creating your own dynasty? Being able to have heirs to play as down the line would be so awesome for Ironsworn
ReplyDeleteSam Carr I was intending to handle this mainly in the narrative. Probably, I’d make finding a spouse a Vow or Scene Challenge, then each following year roll +heart as a Secure an Advantage? A strong hit could produce an heir who would enter the narrative as flavour. Once old enough to play, the heir could be treated as a Companion Asset for a while or just played as a character for a few side-quests. Eventually switch and treat the old character as the Companion until it dies or fades into the narrative background.
ReplyDeleteIn order to play through the entire 81-year campaign, you might also have to have the domain taken over by the spouse, or by an underling if the main character dies. Perhaps have an underling take over if the heir is too young.
