Can I burn momentum without cancelling any dice?
Can I burn momentum without cancelling any dice? I can see it being worthwhile with the Swordmaster focus to gain damage, or possibly a combination of paths that allow for resetting to a higher momentum value. Going from the rules, it's clearly intended that PCs are "stuck" once they go negative, and can't just burn it for a reset. What if I'm at 0 or 1?
Hi, Joel. Per the clarified text on assets which use burning momentum as a trigger (updated assets will be available later this month), you must improve the result of your roll. So, you need to make a miss a hit, or weak hit a strong hit. Essentially, you aren't burning momentum unless you cancel out one or more dice to improve the outcome of your move.
