Ironsworn, the free RPG of perilous quests, is now officially released! I want to offer a huge thanks to everyone who supported and participated in the development of Ironsworn through dozens of preview releases since April 2017.

The digital edition and print edition are available now at DriveThruRPG (http://bit.ly/ironsworn). Please leave a rating or review while you are there!

Or, download directly from ironswornrpg.com.

What is Ironsworn?

In the Ironsworn tabletop roleplaying game, you are a hero sworn to undertake perilous quests in the dark fantasy setting of the Ironlands. You will explore untracked wilds, fight desperate battles, forge bonds with isolated communities, and reveal the secrets of this harsh land.

There are three ways to play:

Guided: One or more players take the role of their characters, while a gamemaster (GM) moderates the session.

Co-Op: You and one or more friends play together to overcome challenges and complete quests. No GM required.

Solo: You portray a lone character driven to fulfill vows in a dangerous world. Good luck!

  8. Thanks Maciej Kozłowski, Thredith Undomiel and Ovy Ortega for the support! And thanks Jakub Nowosad for sharing the word.

Stefanos Patelis. Regarding Frontiers ... I teased it here a few weeks (months? years?) ago as Ironsworn Worlds. Frontiers is the label for the Ironsworn system adapted to new settings and genres. Stay tuned!

  11. Probably lame of me to fill the thread with a bunch of posts saying "thanks", but whatever. I really do appreciate it. Whether you buy, download, share the word, or play the darn thing (especially if you play it!), it makes me happy.

  25. Congratulations! This is my first RPG apart from a FAE campaign that fizzled after one session due to scheduling conflicts (hence my delight at a solo option that doesn't require kludges and homebrewing!), and it's proving wonderful. You've done a fantastic job.

  32. Hi FREAK SOUND. There is a French translation which is apparently pretty far along. They have a website here: http://ironsworn.pbta.fr/. This will be under the creative commons license with a free PDF.

There is also a potential German translation, which I believe will result in PDF and print versions.

I believe there are one or two Spanish fan projects.

That's the stuff I know of!

  33. Hi, to inform you: the french translation is done since weeks (the translator finished in september), layout is almost OK (today: done the 6th chapter and the beginning of 7th) but still need to check hypertext-links+page-references & some typographic details. As I do the layout on my free time, it's going to take me a little longer... so the French corebook PDF will be available for download at the end of December : for Christmas :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. news : Since few days, the french PDF corebook is available ;)

  35. Is there any news on the German translation? I'm about to start a game with a friend, who is not really able to understand the book in English. It would be a big help if we had a translation for him.
