Happy #inspirationmonday, and another look inside my Ironsworn inspiration art folder. I've got loads of art for landscapes and villages, and this painting by Sergey Vasnev is one of my favorites. I love the rugged but beautiful environment. I especially love the love the lighting, which is reminiscent of classic landscapes by Albert Bierstadt.
Are the figures on the right returning home, seeking shelter, or preparing for an assault against those formidable walls?

I'm going through and bookmarking several artist pages on that site now. I feel the inspirational value of that site is much better than at deviantart at the moment.
